Peruvian Delegation Participating in SupplySide West

LAS VEGAS—A delegation of six Peruvian companies will bring exotic ingredients—such as camu camu, purple corn extract, Sacha inchi and yacon—from the South American country to attendees at SupplySide West. The Peruvian trade mission to SupplySide West is being supported by the International Trade Centre (ITC), an agency of the United Nations focused at stimulating trade in emerging countries as a means of poverty alleviation and biodiversity protection. The trade mission is also supported by PromPeru, Peru’s export promotion agency.

“We have only just started talking to buyers about their interest in meeting with these Peruvian companies, and so far, the response has been very positive," said Kerry Hughes, consultant for the ITC. “Buyers love the idea of learning more about these Peruvian ingredients and seem eager to make relationships with the Peruvian companies."

Companies that will exhibit in the Peruvian Pavilion, Booth #20121, #20123 and #20125 are:

Amazon Health Products, an expert in Sacha inchi;

Chakarunas Trading SRL, offering ingredients from the Andes and the rainforest;

Innovaciones Alimentarias SA, specializing in purple corn extracts;

Pebani Inversiones SA, food ingredients and Peruvian cosmetic oils;

Peruvian Nature S&S SAC, full raw material supplier; and

Zanaceutica EIRL, spray-dried extracts and precooked powders of ancient grains.
